Nah. Get bad people out of Congress, not lawyers per se. Fewer lawyers in Congress will mean one thing, and one thing only: more confusing, poorly-drafted statutes. We have enough of those as it is.

The Bar Association is losing members rapidly, given their desire to utilize their association for political positions. The sooner we get all of the lawyers out of Congress, the better off we will all be.

This is one of the many reasons I am not an ABA member. I was during law school, but only because the student division dues are so cheap that I knew I wasn’t really supporting them significantly, and probably actually cost them money.
