Lesbian Comic Strip
I forgot how I found out about it, but for a few years I’ve been reading a strip called Dykes To Watch Out For. Although lately it’s almost insufferably anti-Bush—I think it was funnier when Clinton was in office—I still find it fairly amusing.

I liked Bechdel a lot better under Clinton, too — probably because then she was more inclined to do political bits that laughed at her characters’ foibles. The one with hard-leftist Mo whipsawing back and forth on Kosovo was funny, but it’s less and less so these days.
And yeah, it works as in-character humor, but it still makes my blood run cold to hear characters talk about “The Internationale Dance Mix.” (To be fair, that last cartoon is one of Bechdel’s funnier and less strident ones, but I can’t imagine anybody even humorously suggesting an up-tempo arrangement of the Horst Wessel Song.)
