Yeah, I’ve blogged from the toilet too. Here’s an article in The NYT about blogging. Has some neat stats. I like the bit about how bloggers give up when they realize no one is reading them.

The article didn’t mention the daily envelopes we all recieve stuffed with cash and checks from adoring readers…

A few of my blogging breaks have been despair that, for all the work I do, no one reads me. Then I said, “Ahhh, f*** it!” I do it for me mostly now. Still don’t have a lot of readers though…. 😉

Seriously, it depends on how you define no one. I get like 600ish hits a day and honestly i consider that small. look at how many instapundit, kos, wonkette, and the other big ones get.
So, keep writing for you. I do. Heck, i’ve done zero marketing other than telling others i had a blog and the occasional email to some folks telling them a post may interest them.
