Dogs in Cars

I know there are a few pet owners reading this blog, so here’s a question: what are the pros and cons of various means of securing your dog in a vehicle? In particular, I’m wondering if anybody has used or heard good/bad things about these dog seat belts.

Around here the answer to that question seems to be: put a human in the bed of the pickup along with the dog. (Note: I do not condone this strategy.)

  2. Les Jones Says:

When I was a kid I was told it was against the law for a kid to ride in the back of a pickup without an adult. Then again my parents told me it was against the law for kids to wear Halloween costumes before Halloween.

We bought one of the belts and it sucks. The dogs can get out of it without much effort. And they get tangled in them

  4. James R. Rummel Says:

If you have a very docile, very well trained dog then it’s worth the effort. Other wise I’ve always found that they’re a waste of time.

I figured as much. Thanks guys.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
