Speaking of Loss of Face

An update to the Rush Limbaughtomy thing from NZB. Barry Bozeman had all his blogs but one suspended.

I am about to break my own rule and link to one of Barry Bozeman’s sites where he tries to justify his actions with his usual bullshit (go here and scroll, he spends three posts justifying himself). He blames the opposition and then talks about his integrity. I’ve never known him to have any. Barry Bozeman has been caught lying a couple of times.

Preemptive: I don’t use sitemeter because I find it misses about 30% of my hits. I’ll stick with Webalizer, thanks. But if my readers are curious, here are my stats:

sitemeter is more accurate in terms of humans viewing your site. The extra hits that webalizer catches are hits by search engines and other spiders. Blogs get spidered not only by the regular search engines, but also various blog specific spiders like truthlaidbear, popdex, etc.

Sitemeter doesn’t pick up bots? I seem to recall when i used it that it did.

He’s pathetic. You’d have thought with the hell we gave him awhile back he’d have learned his lesson. Apparently not.

  4. Manish Says:

Basically no…sitemeter embeds javascript into your web pages. Usually, only a browser will interpret the javascript which sends a message to the sitemeter server to say that someone viewed the page and displays the funcky colored square on your own page. Since bots are only looking to get a copy of your webpage, they don’t end up resolving the javascript. Now sometimes, if someone views a cached copy of your page on google, that will show-up on your sitemeter report since the cached copy will have the javascript in your page and it will be interpreted by that person’s browser.

Nice growth curve. That’s what counts (as long as they aren’t all google hits – heh).
