Every time new civil rights rules are suggested, the people who oppose them rally around the Confederate Naval Jack or the Confederate Battle Flag. It's why South Carolina flew it over the state capitol, and why Georgia put it on their state flag. Some continue to insist that the Confederate Flag has "other meanings," but the history doesn't really support them on that charge. (Besides, the Nazi flag had "other meanings," too, and you don't see nearly as many people clamoring for <i>its</i> display.) I could easily see him voting Libertarian, maybe not specifically <i>because of</i> the racism, but because of other, adjuct concerns, like desired separatism.
